You know how I love my book boys. I’m not much of a full on romance reader but I love my dystopia, fantasy, and sci-fi with good doses of swoonfulness. So I may have decided to commit that to a book bag. But since I can never decide which of these gentlemen is my favorite I decided to put the check mark on a pin to more easily cater to my fickle whims. And it seems like every new book brings another awesome book boy I decided to leave a little fill-in-the-blank spot. yeah I know I’m a crazy nerd.
But let me introduce the boys:
- Four AKA Tobias Eaton from the Divergent series by Veronica Roth. He’s intense, he’s reflective, he’s smart, he can kick some serious tail, and he’s always striving to make himself and his world better.
- Will Herondale from the Infernal Devices trilogy (no I haven’t read book 3 yet I’m too nervous so please NO SPOILERS IN THE COMMENTS). He’s a total book nerd. Even though he comes off as shallow he tries his best to do what he thinks is right and he’s a wonderful friend.
- Adrian Ivashkov from the Vampire Academy and Bloodlines books. I really love him. He’s hysterical, hot, complicated but real. He’s not about to beat someone up for your honor but really he is one of my all time favs as flawed as he is.
- Gansey from The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. He’s an amazing friend. Always trying to help people out and he’s got a great sense of humor.
- Etienne St. Clair from Anna and the French Kiss. He like oozes swooniness and he’s got an acent.
- Prince Po from the Graceling books by Kristin Cashore. He’s a strong and he’s faithful. He knows to to be a partner with a girl not just a rescuer and he can put up with girl craziness and moods and knows just what you need to hear.
- Noah Shaw from the Mara Dyer books by Michelle Hodkins. He actually believes you when you feel like you are going crazy. He’s there through everything and she’s just so stinking attractive.
- Peeta from The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins. I think Peeta gets a bad wrap. But to me he’s that smart kind of strong that is so often undervalued. He’s loyal, he’s a fighter, and he perseveres.
- Aiden St. Delphi from The Covenant Series by Jennifer Armentrout. He’s the ultimate protector. He believes in you and he’s willing to sacrifice for his love.
- Edward Cullen from the Twilight books by Stephanie Meyers. He’s honorable, he’s passionate, and he just says and does all the right things.
- Runners Up: Brigan (Fire), Dash (Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares), Dimitri (Vampire Academy), Sean Kendrick (The Scorpio Races), Hector (Crown of Embers), Both Boys (His Fair Assassins) and from the ARC I just finished today Derek (The Ward) ahhh I have a huge problem!
If you haven’t met these boys yet you need to. Not only are their characters great but each and every one of these books makes me super happy. Some of my favorites and just super fun stories. Linking up with The Broke and the Bookish.
Also if you want to make your own book boyfriend bag you can use use my freezer paper stenciling method. You can make your own with the book boys you love. Then you cut it out of freezer paper iron it on and paint with fabric paint. (Mine’s a bit sloppier since I was trying something new which wasn’t the best for the fabric of the bag, freezer paper would have been better.)
And to make the X pin all you need to do is paint is a scrabble tile (they sell them at the craft store now). I did black since my bag is black. Then paint a square (I had some stencil left so I just did that) and then put a big X on it (you know after the paint dries). I did my X by dipping the edge of a piece of paper in red and it worked really well. Then use a good glue to put a pin back onto the tile and you’re good to go.

I love Etienne’s combination of English and French – too fabulous cultures coming together. And there is something sexy about men speaking French. For example, I never liked Bradley Cooper until I saw him give an interview in fluent French – then swoon!

Four, Will, and Prince Po are on my list, too! And I haven’t read Clockwork Princess yet either, so I’ve been avoiding spoilers at all cost. I even turned off the comments on my post because that’s how paranoid I am.

The bag is adorable! I must make one! Thanks for the DIY tutorial!
I’m totally facepalming over the fact that I did not remember St. Clair. OH MY. I must have been tired. AND I really should just own up to the fact that Edward is another one of my book crushes. I’ve been embarrassed, but I will own it since others seem to be doing so. :P And I am coming to the realization rather quickly that I need to read Divergent yesterday. Great list!

Definitely yes to Peeta – I love how he loves Katniss, and he’s just got so many really, really amazing qualities, he’s brave and he’s loyal and he’s such a genuinely good character. But not, like, in a lame/limp way.
And yes to Will also – I’d love to have a boyfriend who could quote from books to me like Will can, and also, he makes me laugh SO MUCH and everybody knows how important a good sense of humour is in a relationship. Read Clockwork Princess. You must read it. (I say this in a totally non-bossy way, obviously)
But I prefer Cricket to Etienne. :-)

I could write a novel about how much I love that bag but I’m trying to be more coherent in my comments. Less keyboard slamming, too. But I LOVE it. I’m going to try to make that one FOR SURE. *insert keyboard slamming here*.
As for your actual list: I’ve just met Will Herondale and I’m already very much in love with him; Four is one of my favroties; though I’m in love with Dimitri, Adrian is definitely not far behind; St Clair is the most swoon-worthy guy ever; and NOAH SHAW. Wow. Just wow.
