I love love love corn during the Summer I really don’t think food gets much better than fresh corn with melty butter.
I wanted something interesting and portable to take to a family BBQ. This garlic basil butter was so easy I bet it would be amazing on baked potatoes, fresh rolls, steak and more.

We love it with basil but other fresh herbs are delicious too! I love how yummy the garlic is with the freshness of the herbs.
- 1 stick butter
- 8-10 fresh basil leaves (or swap for a handful of fresh herbs of your choice)
- 1 tsp garlic
- pepper to taste
- 1 heaping TBS Parmesan (optional)
How to make Garlic Butter with Herbs
I love that this can be made a head of time and its so jam packed full of flavor. Of course I love it with corn but it’s also great served on top of steak for a great finish or any other kid of veggie.
I mean it would be fabulous on bread too!
- Let butter come to room temperature.
- Chop the herbs.
- Add herbs, garlic, pepper, and if you want cheese to the butter.
- Stir until well combined and chill.
I did not make mine with Parmesan but my sister has before and I’m not going to lie I sprinkled some parm on one of of my pieces of butter topped corn and it was so so good.

I broke the corn in thirds and then boiled a bunch then brought along the butter for people to spread on the corn as they served themselves.
