I just wanted to let you all know that I will not be sending reminder emails about the party any longer. From the pure number of participants gmail disabled my account and blog last night. So even though I didn’t break their rules (since I had a preexisting relationship with everyone messaged) and everything is up and running they obviously have some automatic thing that freezes accounts when you email too many people. So hopefully having my button, following, subscribing or something else can serve as your reminder. I’m not sure if the party people would like me to post a reminder status on the Rae Gun facebook page but I could if there were enough people who wanted that.
Sorry if you stopped by and got the “this blog has been removed” message. I had a total freak out and heart attack last night as I was getting ready for bed let me tell you. Thank goodness it’s all back (I wish I had received an explanation though I’m just guessing on the reason since it makes sense, they never sent any info just shut down and turned back on).

That is why I left blogger (just made the move). You are the second blogger in the last month I know that this has happened to. If you Google around you will see lots of bloggers were permanently shut down with no explanation. If one of their robots view you as spam you can be shut down with no explanation and apparently it is very hard to get it rectified. Glad you back up and running!

Megan I know I’ve seen a few others recently have issues and I already have a list of frustrations about blogger.
Are you happy with your move? I definitely was considering it before and after last night I’ll probably start the research.
Megan says
I am happy with the move. There are a lot of things that are more intuitive on WordPress. It takes some getting use to. I highly recommend the Genesis framework with a child’s theme you like. You can go to town customizing it. It is hard work. We did it ourselves, but a lot of other people pay someone to do it. I did lose almost all of my subscribers (it is possible not to, I just don’t know how/or where I messed up). Being a young blog made me happy I did it now vs. later.

Thanks it does seem like many people are moving to wordpress. I’m glad yo say it’s intuitive I’ve kind of heard the “it’s so hard” song a lot.

I’m in the “it’s so hard” category with WordPress. I have a blog on Blogger and I have one on WordPress, just because I wanted to see the difference. I think Blogger is easier. There are things on WordPress I just can’t figure out as far as formatting. Maybe if I were more computer literate it wouldn’t be a big deal!

I had the same thing happened with my yahoo email account last week! Glad it’s all back up and running – I’m off to link up now!

Wow! The all powerful Google. Crazy. I have your party listed on my blog, so no worries on the reminder. Glad you are up and running.
