So hands down an incredibly interesting movie. The concepts, the art, the story, the acting, all of it. It had that wonderful lost demented quality that the PC-ers have successfully killed but can be remembered in old school Sesame Streets and Muppet stuff. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the 3D aspects, and the quirkiness and yeah but I really thought it was scary. I thought it was WAY more scary than The Nightmare Before Christmas. I’m so glad I watched it but I’m surprised at how scary I thought it was. Now note of course that the music maker and a couple of our friends who watched it the other day only thought small parts were a tad scary and definitely a good scary, but I don’t know I thought it was scary. Something about the creepiness got to me, I decided to “hold it” all the way home instead of using the theater potty, yeah. But at the same time it was good, but I feel like it was almost good in a scary movie sort of way and I don’t think I like scary movies. But at the same time I want to say it was so good. So there’s my totally unhelpful review. Sorry, but that’s all I can say.
One last thought: It’s probably not the best for someone who does as much sewing as I do to be weirded out by buttons, I guess they’ll be okay if they aren’t on a face. There goes any probability of doll making.
