It’s been a while since I’ve done a notable alchemy because there’s just been pretty normal requests when I’ve looked. For those of you new to my blog, etsy has a feature called alchemy where you can request things and sellers and bid the requests and make you something you can’t find any where else. I sift through those and find ones that are funny, weird or in some other way notable. I present to you the next notable alchemy.
Hopefully Halloween will bring us some interesting or bizarre ones. I thought this Alchemy request was pretty fun because she wants not only a gnome costume but a travelosity gnome costume. Before I read this request I was unfamiliar with travelosity’s gnome but I guess you can buy your own from their website and take photos of it on your journeys. I think that’s pretty funny. See this link for more info.

My son wanted to be the travelosity gnome this year too. He’s 11. I found a felt hat that was perfect at the halloween store, but you could easily make one out of thick felt. I also found a white beard and a thick black belt with a large silver buckle. The shirt was the hardest part. I ended up getting a women’s tunic that was supposed to be a bathing suit cover up (on clearance) and I dyed it blue. Ablue coat would be better, but this was cheap and it’s pretty hot on Halloween in California. Some pants and black boots and he looks great! I think I will add a travelosity.com sign around his neck just so people will know who he is supposed to be.
