So the musicmaker and I (and many others) spent the weekend filming a music video for his group the Rotten Musicians. The song is based on D&D (dungeon and dragons and gaming stuff) you can get a sneak listen here (but it’s not mastered yet). So we got some awesome Live Action Role Players together to be a part of the video it was so much fun. They actually make up characters and act out fighting and worlds and all kinds of geeky funness. I put together a quick costume because we weren’t sure if there would be enough girls but I wasn’t needed (I made a hood but you can’t see it really in the pic).
Part of what’s so fun I think is that all these guys hand make their gear, many of them sew their clothes they use foam and duct tape and other things to make swords and weapons and it’s just so creative. We even got to use Etsy seller Brainscan’s NPC (non-player character) pins as a subtle touch on the band members. But the video is now in editing stages and we are hoping to make it a youtube hit but I just wanted to give you a sneak peak for now. If you are a geek at heart, like dressing up and play fight you might want to look for a larp group in your area because these guys looked like they have loads of fun.
Once the video is finished I’ll share it. I think it will be very entertaining and I hope that it might get passed around enough so that the right music people get to see it…fingers crossed.
