Okay so I have about 4 Trader Joe’s canvas shopping bags but they never make their way back to the car after I use them. Also I don’t really plan shopping I just go. I try to just juggle my purchases but of course most of the time I buy too much to not use bags. While we reuse the bags in trash cans and other things, I’m so sick of all the plastic bags around. So I’m working on a reusable grocery tote. I know other people have fabric bags but I wanted something that wouldn’t let things leak or sweat into my car, and something I can fold or roll up small and keep in my purse or just have a little bag of them in the car that doesn’t make me feel like I’m carrying 500 extra things to the car (I already have my gym bag, school bag, purse, lunch and sometimes sewing stuff. I don’t need more).
So this is my first go at it. I’m hoping that I can find some thinner water resistant but strong fabric. And I’m trying to figure out if I want a pouch attached to fold it into itself, a little baggie to shove it into (like a sleeping bag or some other way to keep it small when it’s not being used. If you guys have preferences let me know because after I stock myself I hope to add these to my etsy store.

Great idea! Moisture resistance and rolling up would make reusable grocery bags so much better. Hmm… I don’t have any other ideas to add. Sounds perfect!
