So yesterday I shared my fabric hoarding problem and I was going to say that’s the only thing but then I went to write this post and I realized I have a serious to be read book hoarding problem. Luckily most of these have been gifted or borrowed so it’s not quite as bad as the fabric but I’ve got a few more than 10 on the list this week. These are the books that have come off my library hold, appeared in my mailbox, or have just been sitting on my shelf for too long. Linking up with The Broke and the Bookish. So here are the books I’m going to read this Summer.
- Outlander
- Witch World
- Finish the Seven Realms series
- Tiger Lily
- September Girls
- Shadow of the Mark (but I’ve got to get a copy of and read Carrier of the Mark first)
- Burn by Burn
- Carnival of Souls
- The Elite
- Everbound
- Pivot Point
- Invisibility
- Born of Illusion
- Linked
- Gameboard of the Gods
- You Look Different In Real Life
- The Bitter Kingdom
GIVEAWAY CLOSED! And in case you missed it last week there is just one day left to enter the super awesome huge Summer bookish giveaway that my friend Debra from Housewife Eclectic and I are hosting.

sigh, Outlander. I absolutely ADORE that book. I hope you enjoy it!
Tiger Lily is a book I’ve been meaning to read for a long time as well, I’ve heard so many great things about it.

I’ve heard such great things about Pivot Point and Tiger Lily, that I am so eager to get started on both of them. I really enjoyed Burn for Burn even though it was really different to what I was expecting. Great list Marissa!
Lianne @ caffeinatedlife.net says
Great list! I enjoyed Outlander but have yet to get around to the other books, lol. I also love the cover for September Girls :)

I highly recommend Everbound and Pivot Point! I really enjoyed both of those. I’d use some caution going into September Girls – I haven’t personally read it, but the negative reviews I’ve read have been a little scary. Nice list!
Steph says
Whoa, look at those big books right up top, haha. I really want to read Pivot Point because I’ve heard nothing but good things and YES to Tiger Lily. It’s such an amazing read and it made me weep. Beautiful, beautiful!
Elizabeth says
I just saw Linked on your list. Read it. Read it first. Do it now! I just read it today and I have not read such a well written YA sci-fi novel in…years maybe? I’m trying to remember the last one I liked and I’m only coming up with Scott Westerfeld’s Pretties series…I must have read some since then! Anyway, you get my point.
I also just got my hands on Cinder which I’m very excited about – I’m a huge fan of fairy tale retellings and it’s gotten a lot of great reviews, so win-win
Amy says
Ooo, you’ve got some good books in your TBR! I’m been wanting to read Invisibility & Born Of Illusion too!

The Seven Realms series sounds interesting, and I’ll be adding it to my ever-growing to-read pile. I’ve read plenty of rave reviews about Tiger Lily, although I haven’t gotten around to reading it myself. I hope you enjoy it, and good luck getting through your summer reading list! (:

I’m starting to notice that fabric hoarding and book hoarding tend to go hand in hand for most people…or at least me. I just started Siege and Storm last night, and have City of Ashes on deck. Really waiting for Allegiant to finally come in though!
Andi says
Pivot Point and The Elite were two of my fave reads of these year! I’m excited to see them on your list.
Krista says
SO many good books on your list! The Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima is the best fantasy series ever written, in my humble opinion. And, Outlander… well, I can’t say enough. I’d love to give the audio version a try!

LOL – I think I’m descending into hoarding territory, too (for books and recipes and craft supplies!). I have to get around to reading The Selection at some point. Too many books, not enough time!!! :-)

Outlander!! I loved that book, a LOT more than I thought I would, lol. I stalled in the series a few books in, but I’m definitely still a fan. I’ll be interested to hear what you think of Tiger Lily – it’s on my TBR list and it sounds really good.
