My favorite handmade gift was actually created after getting a gift. My mom got us matching sewing machines a couple of years ago. Then, we spent the rest of Christmas day and the next few going through her fabric stash and making quilt blocks together. We had our sewing machines set up across from each other on the dining room table, and we were swapping fabric and showing off our finished blocks to each other. While the gift wasn’t homemade, we made things together with it.
