I had the pleasure of going to the Smart Chicks Kick It Tour a few weeks ago. In my normal dorky fangirl ways I had to make myself a Vampire Academy/Bloodlines shirt to meet Richelle Mead in. I really like how my “Little Dhampir” shirt turned out.
In addition to meeting Richelle, I was excited to meet Ally Condie (Matched) and the rest of the ladies. I picked up Bethany Griffith’s Masque of the Red Death, and I’m half way through Margaret Stohl’s Beautiful Darkness which I’m loving so far.
I’m including a little stencil if you want to make your own and you can find step by step directions on how to do freezer paper stenciling like I did (basically you cut a stencil out of freezer paper, iron it on, paint with fabric paint and pull off the freezer paper). So easy and fun!
Besides that I’m smack in the middle of my insane-o costume making season as those of you who follow me on Instagram (@raegunramblings) may have picked up on. That being said my actual reading has been a bit slow but my audiobook listening has been quite good. I’ve decided though that the medium doesn’t seem to make a difference to me so far books I like to read with my eyes I enjoy listening to and vice versa. So here’s some of the books that I’ve finished since my last update that I loved and want you to know about.

I’ve got to get back to work but if you click on the text title that will take you to my goodreads review and if you click on the book cover you’ll go to the goodreads descriptions of each. And definitely let me know in the comments if you’ve got quesitons about any of them because talking about books has got to be my favorite thing next to crafting about books :) And if we’re not friends on goodreads yet let’s fix that!

Cool shirt! I’ve never created a stencil from freezer paper before. How did you cut it out? X-acto knife and a very steady hand?

I love that you always post what you are reading. I get such great ideas to add to my goodreads list. We have similar reading habits it appears!
