What is a Christmas Lights Scavenger Hunt
Back in the day we were just happy to see decorated house period. But today kids have it so easy, almost every neighborhood has fun Christmas lights or awesome holiday inflatables.
A Christmas Lights Scavenger Hunt is where you go around (usually in the car but if you’re in a warmer climate it would be so fun to walk or bike) and look for specific kinds of lights.
There’s a huge variety of decor these days from different styles and colors of lights, to inflatable lawn pieces and some homes even have their lights timed to music or dancing in crazy patterns. Don’t think it happens by you? Just ask your friends I bet you will find at least a few crazy houses within driving distance of you!

Make it Extra with 3D Glasses
I love pairing the light hunt with a pair of cheap-y 3D Christmas Light glasses. I snagged a pack of 10 since I plan on doing some door drops for friends with the printed out Christmas scavenger hunt page along with some glasses but I saw smaller packs available too.
If you’ve never played with these 3D glasses they are a blast! When you look at lights with them on they make all the little light bulbs into cute designs. We have had ones that look like little reindeer, Snowmen and more!
Trust me Teddy is still holding on to a pair we got free at one of those drive through light displays 2 years ago that he ripped and retapped. These things are a big hit!
