Another cute photo. I sure love them. Keep ’em coming it really is amazing the power one silly little picture of a baby I totally don’t know can really brighten my day. She’s wearing the Alice in Wonderland dress one of my personal faves.
Now onto The Half-Blood Prince. I’ve got completely mixed feelings. Of course I liked it because I love all things Harry Potter but there was just something off about this movie. Or maybe a few things off.
1). I know it was 3 hours long but it felt like it went fast. I felt like I was just watching a piddly outline and so much story was missing.
2). There were weird and unnecessary changes that I didn’t get and that I think make a difference.
3). I’m weirded out by the ending
Okay enough geeking out for now. I’ve got a couple of giveaways planned but I need to make the goods, I should get at least one sewn up this Friday. I’ve just trying to do a bit of post-vacation catch up. I really do need to get away more often.
Okay last bit of geeking, I’m putting spoilers in the comments, if you’d like to discuss you’re thoughts on the movie (whether they align with mine or not), I feel like I need some good discussion. The musicmaker and I are both a bit confused.

WARNING HARRY POTTER SPOILERS
okay so a few of the things that bug me that I remember
1. why wasn’t Harry under a cloak in the last fight scene. I think Dumbledore’s conversation with Draco and his directions to Harry were way more obvious in the book.
2. does anyone else remember the Hermione crying and heart to heart with Harry in the book?
3. the death eaters are supposed to attack the school
4. Major characters in the book like Neville had barely any attention
5. And I’m totally weirded out that they didn’t show a funeral, I felt like that was an important part of the book. maybe they’ll start the next movie with that

MORE SPOILERS??
I just watched it yesterday…It’s been so long since I read the book, but I do remember the cloak park at the end, and they were supposed to apparate into Hogsmeade (weren’t they?) and I was expecting to see the funeral too! That was a real disappointer. They didn’t touch on the oldest Weasley son and Fleur being engaged, nor that he was attacked by Greyback (that his name?) in the attack on the school. I think the last book uses them alot, so…they should have touched on it, right? I don’t know…it may be too soon for me to have a full idea of what I think about the movie.

yes they were supposed to apparate I think and what was with burning down the weasley home? where are they going to have the wedding?
I watched it again and liked it better but I had to just accept that it’s more of a movie interpretation than any of the other books had been

Hi RaeGun, thought you might enjoy the HP quiz I wrote. It’s definitely for Harry experts only, and also includes links to some really great handmade Harry items!

I totally agree with everything that bugged you. I loved the movie beacuse it was Harry Potter and I can’t hate anything Harry Potter but SO MUCH stuff was left out. I felt like the movie kinda skipped around and some of the things that should have been obvious weren’t so obvious in the movie. Dumbledore’s death wasn’t this big huge event in the movie like it was in the book, jenny and Harry’s relationship was kinda blah in the movie, no funeral, etc.

Marissa- I totally agree with you about HP- I love the books so much and am an avid fan, but sad that important things were left out. and that the burrow was burnt down or something?? and that they didn’t even show the order fighting back- it was like the death eaters were taking over and letting all hell break loose-so not the case. :( but I still love HP. :)
