How to Successfully Buy Glasses Online

First let me say, I am a super anxious shopper. In fact I’ve been know to drive my family crazy with my indecision. I just stand in shopping isles staring at my potential purchase. So when GlassesUSA.com asked me if I wanted to do a review I was really excited (since I need new glasses) but also a bit nervous since usually I try on tons of glasses and agonize over my decision when picking out a new pair.

I am absolutely in love with my new eyeglasses! They are awesome and fit perfectly. No surprises at all. One thing that really helped was I used their Virtual Mirror feature. If you’re friends with me on Instagram you know that I posted a picture with a few of the different frames I was considering and asked everyone to weigh in. It was really cool being able to “try” on and compare the different frames. You should know that I had to use Internet Explorer to get the feature to work for me (I’m usually a firefox girl).

Something else I did that was really helpful was to look on the inside of my current prescription glasses to see what the various numbers and measurements were. That way I was able to guess how they would fit on me.

Also as is true to my crazy neuroticness I wrote the measurements of the various frames I was considering and when I was at the store doing some shopping went in to the optical center and tried on some frames with the same measurements. This helped me feel much more comfortable with my decision but to be honest this didn’t tell me much more than the Visual Mirror, it just eased my nerves.

My last tip when shopping for glasses online would be to read the pricing descriptions before picking your frames that way you’ll be able to stay within your budget. For me I couldn’t get the least expensive lenses because of my prescription so that was something good to keep in mind when I was pricing everything. I ended up calling in my order and the people at GlassesUSA.com were super helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy glasses online again!
