It’s about that time of Winter where I’m totally ready to be moving into Spring but alas I think we have a solid few more months ahead. When Winter first kicked in I was excited to be inside baking and crafting so I figure it’s time to reclaim that attitude. If you need some inspiration you should definitely check out Handmade Winter. When I flipped through it I immediately knew that I had to make myself a Leather and Chain Chevron Necklace. I mean really it’s SO cute and easy. Plus you know I’m kinda a necklace junkie these days.
Handmade Winter is an awesome ebook filled with over 30 recipes, tutorials, and inspiration for celebrating, and lets be honest, getting through Winter. There are projects perfect for entertaining the little ones with or for indulging more adult sentiments. It’s a super fun diverse collection.
There are so many creative and delicious looking projects I’m excited to try them out. It’s one of those books that’s just gorgeous to flip through because the photos are so so pretty. Definitely what I needed to snap myself out of the “how long can Winter really last funk”
Next time I go to the store I’m going to pick up some walnuts to make these awesome Walnut Fairy Gifts with the nieces. Aren’t they the cutest thing ever?
And you know the lovely Marigold of Hideous! Dreadful! Stinky! she contributed these super cute vase place holders. You would never believe how simple they are to make. This would be another one that would be fun to do with the girls.
I’m so happy with my new necklace and the book geek in me likes to pretend it’s my “Legend” necklace. Oh how I love that book series. I know that I’ll be enjoying many more of the projects in this book soon. I mean really Toasty NEEDS chalk blocks! To learn more about Handmade Winter or to get your own copy head over here.

For me, the adorable Fairy is the big winner here. If you need another winter project, you can make and send one to cheer up a fellow book blogger on hard times. :D
