So it’s hard to deny that wallpaper is really in right now. I feel like every design blog or magazine I look at is constantly featuring rooms with wallpaper. And I’m just not sure what to do with our bedroom. It needs character. The room is small and we can’t do a headboard because of how the bed is positioned ( the only way it fits in the room) and I haven’t seen bedding I love (I figure I can sew up something at some point). So I was thinking since really what I have to work with is walls, that maybe wallpaper might be the answer. I’m not really in love with any of the designs above but others that I’ve seen that of course I can’t find pictures of now.
So what do you think about wallpaper on the window wall. Or on the window wall and/or the left hand wall? Do any of you guys know if wallpaper nowadays is as much a pain as far as getting it up and taking it off when you’re tired of it as in the past? I feel like I’ve heard lots of wallpaper related whining. Have any of you guys had good or bad experiences with wallpaper? Any tips, resources, etc.? Any other ideas you think I should consider?

I HATE Wallpaper!!
I think you should try something else. It looks like a small room, what could you do to make it look bigger?
I love the way you’ve decorated the rest of the house…loving the silver bowl!

Marissa! I think it would actually look good on the wall behind the bed! (window wall if you leave the bed there) 1. since it is a smaller room, it could count as the headboard. 2. Keeping everything else white and basic with spots of color won’t cramp the room. Also using a big pattern instead of tiny busy patterend wall paper might actually make it look bigger! Don’t forget the impact of mirrors and lighting! I say go all out!

I hate wallpaper also. Although it’s really trendy, when it goes out of style it’s a b*tch, if not impossible, to take off. And paint will chip/peel right off of it. I vote NO! I think you could paint that wall a unique color and hang some things to make it look cool.

haha I new I would get a no from heidi, Jessica emailed me that a yes so we’re about even. I also thought about maybe an interesting not grandma-y stencil may get the same effect but I think I’m going to do more wallpaper research
