Well it’s finally official! Midnight Sun Stephenie Meyer’s long awaited prequel to the Twilight books has a release date! Watch the big news and to help you endure the wait I’ve got some books Twi-hards will love.
I’m not screaming, you’re screaming! I know some women my ages would never admit to loving all things Bella and Edward, but, I am not one of them. I’ve had movie release parties, gush over the gender bender version of Twilight (SOOOO good if you’d didn’t read it), made all kinds of crafts and recipes, and melt over that song EVERY SINGLE TIME.

So to say I’m excited would be a vast vast understatement! I’m not just a fan of Twilight I have loved all things Meyer has done.
What Exactly is Midnight Sun Though?
Meyer describes it as a writing exercise gone out of control. As she was brainstorming background stories for Edward she started to work out what Twilight would be from his perspective.
She explains, “There is so much more to his side of the story than there is to Bella’s in that first chapter.” She continues to say, “It wasn’t long before I was thinking about Edward in Alaska, Edward upon his return to Forks, Edward’s side of that fateful conversation in Biology…”

Blah but August 4!? That seems so far away. Make sure pre-order it but oh man how on earth will endure the wait?
Obviously a Twilight and Life and Death reread and rewatch for sure. And of course pouring over the first glimpses of Midnight Sun and previously released partial draft. But after that my vote will be escaping into other great books that fill my YA lit loving heart!
