I ran my first 5K this weekend.
I finished 14th out of 14.
I did really well for myself.
My trainer had a medal made up for me for my first race (being able to run was a goal of mine, it wasn’t one of those everyone gets a medal deals so that was really nice).
I never thought I’d be a runner. In high school I played all the sports our school offered except soccer because of all the running. As an adult I’ve been jealous of the people that run for 30 minutes and burn more than my hour and a half at the gym. So when my trainer asked for a couple goals I said being able to run for half an hour. And I’m starting to enjoy it when really I’m mostly motivated by the fact that it’s one of the quickest way to burn calories (okay I tried a spin class and absolutely hated it so don’t try to sell spin to me despite the fact that that’s a calorie scorcher). I’m more of a yoga girl, comfy, stretching, relaxing. So it’s a pretty big deal that I was able to do this. I liked it and I may even try to do a 10K.

GOOD FOR YOU!!!!
I did 5k training on my own this year, and now I run 2 1/2- 3 1/2 miles 2 or 3 times a week. Being a runner is the best feeling ever.
Thats rad.
