So I’m sitting in my car picking up wireless from the ethos cause my internet that I pay a fortune for is out again, I swear once a year at least I have those people out here errrr and that’s not counting times that don’t require house calls. Anyways I was going to post another giveaway but I’m holding off.
But still enter the other ones and remember the diaper cover one ends THIS Friday. And don’t forget about the fabric one. Yup.
Okay so if you’re trying to get a hold of me I’m not just shunning you it’s freaking qwest. Seriously besides getting cable do I have any other options, cause we’re so tired of this?! Hopefully it’ll be fixed tomorrow though.

Hello Marissa, my name is Brian and I work for Qwest. I ran across your blog post, and it sounds like you have been having issues with your Qwest DSL service. I apologize for this, and I would like to offer my assistance in getting your DSL issues resolved.
I’m not sure if you have already gotten help from us, but if not, please send me an e-mail to [email protected], and I’ll be happy to help. If you would, put my name in the subject line, and send me your account number & billing address.
Thanks Marissa, I look forward to helping you soon.

Whoa, that comment from Brian is weird. Do they have tech guys just searching the net for blogs bitching about them? BIZARRE. And CREEPY. I’ve never had problems with the internet service provided by said creepos. Is it the internet or the wireless? Have you tried plugging in? I’m sure you have, but just thought I’d ask, since we’re hardwired.
Tanya says
wow Brian, you’re super creepy – why would someone sent you there ADDRESS without knowing for sure who you are?! you wouldn’t want your sister/mom/daughter/neice to do that. Don’t suggest other people do it. I’m sure you’re a nice guy and trying to be helpful, but maybe next time just direct her to customer services and not ask for her address.

It’s all fixed now. Thanks Brian for the offer. I find it a little less creepy than my friends but really I agree people should not send strangers their info over the internet but thanks for the offer I think you’re probably legit (not that I think people should take chances).
But yes, as frustrating as my service has been from said company my service guy who comes (same guy) is always extremely pleasant and helpful. So it is now fixed. But I’ve got things to do since I wasted so much time trouble shooting yesterday.

Very cute stuff!

This totally cracks me up. This is not an employee of Qwest, he is trying to get your account number and address to gain access to your account for some reason. I wonder how many people actually respond to him. Very clever scamming.

yeah so I reported it to qwest they’ve either got someone phishing under their name or they need to fix their approach. I searched for social media on their site and couldn’t find anything.
Regardless in this day and age even if they’ve got this department they need a better way to legitimize their agents. THe internet is too dangerous of a place to take risks.
Brian says
Hey Marissa, I’m glad to hear everything is working for you finally. Sorry to anyone that found me to be “creepy”, definitely not my intention. In my information, I did include the URL that Qwest established to help legitimize our group, but I do understand where everyone is coming. In this day & age, one can never be too careful when it comes to sending information to someone you don’t know.
Just so you have it, here is a URL link to our social media team, on Qwest.com: http://www.socialmedia.qwest.com. Hopefully this will help easy minds. We are just here to help, so please let us know if we can. :0)
Thanks Marissa,
B
