(me before the race)
I never in my life would have thought I would ever be a runner. But I guess I am now. I’m not a good runner at all but I’m figuring it out. A couple of weekends ago I ran my first 10K. I was super nervous about it because I didn’t want to walk most of the race so my wonderful trainer ran it with me. While I ran at a really slow pace, at times it was more like a shuffle, I did run most of it so I’m quite excited. Unlike my 5K I didn’t finish last, I’m not saying I wasn’t close to last, but I wasn’t last this time.
(me after, Swan wanted me to do a victorious pose, hence the awkward pose)
I just did the 10K part of the SLCTC Winter Series and I totally recommend it. I definitely will be doing it next winter. For running on a highway along the wide openness of the salt flats I was surprised at how beautiful it was. Plus, there were all kinds of different people and that was really cool.
