Have you guys heard of Sew In Tune? It’s an awesome series put on by Melissa of Melly Sews and Stacey of Boy Oh Boy Oh Boy Crafts two of my favorite sewing bloggers. I’m excited to be joining this year with a fun little outfit for Teddy.
I decided to go with Walking On a Dream by Empire of the Sun. I’ve always really liked the song and I just thought it would be fun to make an outfit that felt like it was out of a dream of sorts.
It’s funny I never even second guessed my interpretation of “dreamlike” until it was sewn up and done. But I guess I think of dreams as being kind of stark contrast with thinks just a little off from normal like the mismatched sleeves.
For some reason as soon as I thought dream I thought of walking on the sun and clouds which is why there are little orange and yellow patches of sunbeams and blue striped clouds on his leggins.
I love how it turned out. Super fun and comfy. Perfect baby clothing. I feel like most little boy clothes are just little men clothes so when I sew for Teddy I want it to be fun and something special.
Pattern Details: I used Peek-a-boo Pattern Shop patterns. They are my favorite for Teddy, they always fit, they are super fast and easy to sew up and always cute. The raglan sleeve top is from the Happy Feet Pajama pattern and the pants are actually the Lollipop Leggings pattern because I love leggins on his little butt!
Oh how I love my little cuddle bug. Now hop over to see what other songs and outfits were picked so far this year! And make sure to check back in at Melly Sews and Boy Oh Boy Oh Boy Crafts for the wrap up posts on Saturday to see all the songs, looks and enter the giveaway!
Let’s connect! You can also find me hanging out here.
