Spreading the Joy $400 GIVEAWAY

I think it’s time to spread some joy so how about a nice fat $400 cash giveaway. Yup you read that right.

I’ve teamed up with a bunch of blogger friends that have just felt like there’s a serious need to spread a little extra joy right now. To do that we’re giving away $400 to one lucky winner and we’ve collected over $175 to donate to Toys for Tots so far (see the widget below to enter). As a part of this giveaway we’re supposed to share ways to spread joy but to be honest I feel like I need help.

With all the nastiness that was brought out with this past election season I’ve really been thinking of concrete ways to try and to be example of joy and kindness and ways to instill those traits and values in the kids. I wish I was here with some great list of tips and activities for how to do that but honestly I feel like this is something I’m really struggling with. But I do want to get better at that as both a person and as a mom. In the past we’ve helped with little service projects or bought toys and clothes for things like Angel Tree but I’m just not seeing it click yet in the kids heads and I’m just feeling like I need to do more.

So I’m coming to you , do you guys have any ideas of ways to approach being more joyful and kind as well as how to go about raising children that are joyful and kind? I’d love to hear your ideas and experiences. I want it all every thing from one time activities you’ve done with the kids, to ways that you think in your head, to books you’ve read, even silly little things. I really feel like I personally need to make this a priority in my life.
