My First Boxing Class AKA Living Out My Dauntless Dreams

If you’re like me most Girls Nights Out involve eating way too many calories. But earlier this week I went to check out a brand new boxing gym, TITLE Boxing with a bunch of other bloggers. It was one of the most fun GNO events I’ve done. We were laughing and bonding and actually burning calories instead of consuming them, and it was a blast.

I’m not going to lie I’ve never really had any inkling to do boxing but this was seriously one of the most fun workouts I’ve experienced. Debra and I joked that we were getting in our Dauntless training. Yes I know we’re Divergent geeks to the core but you already knew that.

I already exercise a lot but it’s hard for me to be motivated. For the most part getting my cardio in is one big act of distraction. It’s my bribe to read more of my book or get outside for a bit or something else.

But what I loved about the boxing is that I actually really enjoyed the class. It was great because you are kept busy the whole time, things are constantly changing, but there’s reasonable breaks to catch your breath and grab a drink too. It’s so fast paced that there’s just no time to get bored. I was moving and burning calories for an hour straight and it felt awesome. Our instructor was fantastic and we got to meet the owners who were an absolute pleasure.
