We celebrated T’s 6th birthday today and it was absolutely delightful. I was worried because we kinda left everything until the last minute. My mom, sister and I did various tasks and I think it came together way better than I could have imagined. It was probably my favorite of the niece’s birthday parties so far. I did spend all day weekend doing party stuff and a little before doing her mermaid outfit (I’ll be sharing that soon) but it was totally worth it. I think having parties is one of my favorite things to do. I just love get it all together, planning (I may be a planning addict), making food, feeding people, and spending quality time with friends and family. I’m super tired now but I took tons of pictures so I’ll be sure to share them.
And I got a few books recently so I wanted to share. Some of you more astute bookish folk like Sandi may have noticed my fancy smacy stack on my houndstooth stool makeover post. I did jump and scream like a crazy person when I opened up the Siege and Storm package (Daniel said it was like Beatlemania and a band member had just showed up at my house). You could say I liked Shadow and Bone just a little bit ;)
