I decided to do a little something this month with Sew Our Stash. Since my energy level was pretty non-existent and it was hard to really want to make maternity clothes for less than a month I thought it would be fun to have a little DIY Maternity Fashion Round Up of all the prego clothes that I made and I’m still wearing up to these last days. Guys I’m due in TWO DAYS holy moley!
But here are the creations that are still in my rotation at ready to pop totally pregnant and how they now look with my full belly! One thing I know for sure is that even though most of what I’ve made since Bev and I started Sew Our Stash has been maternity clothes I’m so excited to make stuff that I can wear for years and years that ahem has a waist! This modified Casual Lady top is my absolute favorite. I wear it all the time and I’m sure I’ll still be wearing it long after my bump is gone, the side ruching will just be a design feature :)
This castle dress is so comfy and I love how it looks in the pictures, but some how I kept forgetting about it! Luckily I did the whole back with elastic. I made this right at the beginning of my “ugg regular clothes are too tight” stage so I should be able to keep this one in the rotation.
While I love the pattern the fabrics just didn’t work the best. Don’t get me wrong I wore this Casual Lady a ton because it’s super easy to wear but I feel huge in in, like why yes I am hobbling around because my hips are all out of whack because I’m gigantic with child huge. PS I highly recommend prego chiropractic care. I just started last week and have been slapping myself for not going sooner in this pregnancy.
Probably my 2nd most worn item this whole pregnancy. I love my Bess top. The only thing is I can’t wear it around Daniel’s grandma. She seriously asked me like 10 times one day “what’s on your back” ummm “it’s just a shirt grandma”. But I like it and get compliments every time I wear it. I’m excited to make more.
This is the newest item in the bunch. Super comfy but I think it has a slight sleepwear look to it. But who are we kidding I don’t really leave the house much any ways. And yes I’ve been sleeping a ton too so you know it all works. PS can I just say I cannot wait until Toasty is out and I can buy a decent bra. TMI?
I like this dress a ton but it sure is a lot of wood grain and after making it I thought the skirt needed to be more angled (which I did in the whale one). Not sure what I should pair it with but it’s still comfy. I think I need to have some big belt, colorful cardigan, or scarf or something to balance it out.
Love this City of Bones dress it’s so comfy and easy to wear. Plus it’s geekilicious with my booknerd quote and shadow world iron-ons. I will definitely be wearing this for many years to come and I’ll be making more.
And then because I know you guys like startle face here’s a startle face in my Rose shirt :)
How else am I feeling? Ready to pop. My doc has been out of town the last two weekends and now with a few rounds of adjustments from the chiropractor I’m feeling ready to meet this baby boy. All the gear is set up. The bag is packed. And honestly I feel like my body is falling apart. Between the back aches and head aches and piggy foot swelling I’m ready to be done. They won’t let me go past 41 weeks so that’s helpful to know. I’m still completely anxious about knowing when to go to the hospital but you know I figure things will happen how they happen and I’ve made Daniel read up on what to do if we have to deliver at home haha. But really the hospital is about 5 minutes away. So send your good vibes and hopefully I’ll have cute baby boy pictures to share with you soon.
Don’t forget to check out what Bev whipped up this month over at Flamingo Toes. And keep up the hashtagging on the Instagram with #sewourstash!

I am seriously amazed at your talent. One thing I am not at all good at is sewing for myself, I love that you do it and look SO incredibly stylish while you’re at it.
Good luck and I hope that little one gets here SOON!

I can NOT believe you made all of these for yourself! I am seriously running out of clothes I can wear and I’ve got 2 1/2 months left so I don’t know how I’m going to survive. I wish I had some of your talent girl! Also, TWO DAYS! That is so awesome! Can’t wait to hear the good news about little toasty!

First, you are the cutest pregnant lady! Seriously! Secondly, I have to say that you’re pretty much the best DRESSED pregnant lady ever. I was so dang lazy about the whole “maternity clothing” thing. This is fabulous!

All those pieces are totally awesome, but I like your startled face the best! You crack me up, Marissa! I know exactly how you feel right now, and I hope that Toasty makes his debut very soon for your sake. And yes, make sure you buy a great bra! I don’t think I ever had a great bra until the lady at the nursing store at the hospital schooled me on proper fit! Changed my life!

So excited for you, you look adorable! Don’t get too excited about the bra, nursing bras are super sexy as well, haha.

How fantabulous!!!
1 day &!counting….. Unless by now you’ve already popped!
Personally I can’t sew. Well I guess I can if you count “sewing on a button!” Lol.
One if my fav bloggers/ sites Anthro Queen Bev @Flamingo Toes lead me to this page.
I’m sure it’s been said a million times before but hey I’ll be the 1million and 1 person to say it!
You need to start your own “Pregalicious Boutique” (**see note) featuring your stylish savvy pregga range of clothes for the mum with the bun in the oven.
But hey, maybe when master Roasty toasty is a bit older and you actually have time!
Especially when we all need to savour every single moment- good and bad- otherwise you’ll blink and missed it!
Anywho’s wow luv, my fingers are crossed and my thoughts sent out for a safe birth your Roasty toasty! (Damn getting wee bit clucky. Been just over 10yrs ago now!)
All the best,
Heartfelt thoughts and best wishes,
Hugs,
Kyra x

Baby Toasty is almost here, yay! :) John and I hope we will get to meet him sometime this year. It’s actually looking like we might be out in SLC for Easter this year, so maybe then . . . ?! In the meantime, wishing you a safe and smooth labor and delivery. You’re gonna do great!!!
